It’s not only a company’s service offering, or the skills it can call on that makes it an award winning organisation. Sometimes, the most important aspect driving success is teamwork. This certainly appears to be the case as we won the ‘Continuity & Resilience Team 2016’ at the recent Business Continuity Institute (BCI) Africa Awards.
ContinuitySA won the award for the teamwork displayed during a project assisting a multibillion dollar client company, which delivers a range of consulting and technical services from multiple data centres around the world, to embark on a strategy to offer BCM and DR to existing and new clients.
When the client sought out specialist in-house BCM and DR expertise, it turned to ContinuitySA for help in equipping its global sales and consulting teams to sell and, more critically, deliver BCM and DR of the highest quality.
While ContinuitySA was able to come up with the concept of a toolset that would automate the entire process from initial consulting through developing technical solution specifications and on to implementation, testing and ongoing maintenance, it still required a strong team to run the show for the client.
What was called for was a team of highly skilled individuals, collaborating together to make things work for the customer, and thus the ‘Tiger Team’ was born. This team combined domain expertise with strong business savvy and the personal qualities to inspire the trust of the client.
Moreover, its award-winning effort was built on keeping to punishing deadlines and working with the client’s own multidisciplinary teams across multiple time zones. This was achieved while still surpassing expectations and operating consistently as a cohesive unit.
Congratulations are in order, then to Jeremy Capell, Bradley Janse van Rensburg, Kabir Singh, Padma Naidoo, Adam Wakerman, Wayne Johnson, Sasha Malic, Al De Brito, and Dean Naidu who formed Tiger Team and produced such outstanding quality of deliverables. This award is the least you deserve.
