It’s not often that a company can repeatedly win the same accolade, but ContinuitySA was named the best Business Continuity and Resilience Provider for 2016 at the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) Africa Awards banquet on 7 September, making this the third time in a row the organisation has won this honour.
This is a particularly notable achievement, given that this is an evolving industry and staying at the forefront is a considerable challenge. After all, the industry has developed from IT disaster recovery focused one, through to the current discipline of business continuity and is now moving towards a more encompassing philosophy of end to end business resilience.
As for the award itself, the contenders for these honours come from across the continent, so triumphing for the third successive time against competition from all over Africa is testament to the strength of the company’s service offering, and to the experience of the people that deliver it.
Of course, ContinuitySA has provided business continuity management and disaster recovery services to a wide range of clients of all sizes over the years, and the company boasts some of the continent’s most highly skilled and qualified business continuity management experts. Therefore, winning this award may not be the biggest surprise, but it certainly provides recognition of both the company’s abilities and the technical skills of the people that make it tick.
Congratulations are certainly in order to everyone involved in the business, whatever their position. An award of this nature can only be obtained on such a consistent basis if every single member of the organisation is working together to make it happen. This latest award demonstrates that at ContinuitySA the people are more than just a team – they are a family.
